GRAHAM GOLD THE TRANCEMASTER STYLES:PROGRESSIVE AND UPLIFTING TRANCE & HOUSE
Graham's
legendary shows on London's Kiss 100 reached out to hundreds
of thousands of listeners across the world) and his club night
Peach, the most successful club brand ever in London - the capital
of dance, made Graham the star that he is today.
His
committment to the scene to play exciting fresh new music is
almost unparalleled. Years of experience has taken him to all
corners of the world playing for all the major brands and festivals,
including Glastonbury, Homelands, Gatecrasher, Gods Kitchen,
Passion, Slinky, Impulz, Earthdance, W.E.M.F., Summadayze and
The Street Parade in Zurich in fact as clubland goes, there re
very few places in the world he hasn't played and Graham is a
welcome guest, time and time again.
He
has been in the DJ Mag Top 100 7 out of the last 10 years (2
years at 22 and 5 inside the Top 40) - no wonder clubbers and
the industry honour him with legend status! Voted Best
Trance DJ at the Underground Music Awards in 2003, Graham has
won every accolade...
...in the Kiss
100 Awards for many years event beating DJs such as Judge Jules
and Danny Rampling. Graham has sold over 700,000 mix albums across
various leading brands including Kiss Mix, Kiss in Ibiza and
Club Cuts. He has remixed for Carl Cox and he also ran the highly
successful Good As label which gave Matt Darey his first ever
UK top twenty single. Good As also managed the UK diaries of
Tiesto, Armin and Ferry Corsten from 1998-2001.
Graham
was the first DJ/promoter book Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten,
Tiesto and The Flash Brothers into the UK.
He appears regularly in every leading dance music publication
and was even featured in the special GOLD edition of Vogue!!
Graham is still on top of his
game production today with Paul van Dyk caning the last 3 Gold
productions - "Glorified" (alongside Armin and Paul
Oakenfold) in every set, Graham's newest release on Recoverworld's
Flux deluxe label. It has also been signed to the massive Dream
Dance Vol 45 compilation-Germany's biggest compilation series
as well as the prestigious "Delirium" compilation from
Dave Pearce. That and other successes have justified Grahams
decision to reduce his gig schedule and buy his own music studio
- after 2 intense years of honing his already developed production
skills he is now turning out tracks that are indemand from the
World's elite
And
if you needed anymore proof that you can't keep a good (or should
that be Gold) man down, his famous club night of 14 years, Peach,
has also returned to the UK's capital, making it once again,
THE trance night to be seen at in London. His weekly radio show
"Trancedayze" spans the UK, Australia, Slovakia, Russia,
U.A.E., Scandanavia and South Africa plus he has monthly shows
on the top global web stations: Ministry Of Sound Radio, DI.FM
and ETN.FM.
Graham's
fan base is huge and worldwide and his website gets around 30,000
hits each year with his bi-weekly podcasts are going out to a
regular 6000 signed up database and growing weekly.
Chris Hampshire,
the MD of Recoverworld "Graham
Gold's influence on dance music today cannot be understated.
A true industry pioneer he has played at every club that is worth
playing at and his radio show on Kiss helped to define musical
the tastes of a generation. He continues to draw in new fans
week in week out with his hectic DJ schedule. With such a depth
of musical knowledge and influences his productions are always
something special and his debut single on Flux continues in this
vein"
BEXTA AUSTRALIA'S NO 1 INT'L
DJ STYLES:HARD TRANCE BANGIN' BEATS ENERGETIC
HOUSE
When
you look at the list of achievements of BeXta Australia's No1
female DJ and possibly the most successful dance music producer
in the countries history, you wonder how she has done it all.
And when you ask BeXta that question, this quietly spoken talent
admits she feels she hasn't even started. Which makes it all
the more cool.
BeXta
has had 8 single releases to date, including a 5-star international
anthem (quoted by Radio One, BBC London, and DJ Mag UK), called
'One For The Road. She's release one EP - the Skirmish LIVE EP,
which entered the ARIA singles charts in 1999, and an album,
Conversations with ones and zeroes. The album reached number
8 on the ARIA independent album charts, which was released on
her own label in Australia - a notable achievement for a dance
music producer in this country achieving all of that?
On
top of her own releases, BeXta began the DJ compilation series,
'Mixology', in 2000, and we are just about to be hit with number
9 in the series, which she is introducing her first international
DJ to accompany her on the comps - Brooklyn Bounce...
This collaboration
will surely propel and Bexta's production career to a much wider
international stage - a long running objective of this personable
and determined DJ. .
As
well as the release of 'Mixology 9' , BeXta has embarked on a
project to introduce new talent into the industry, with the development
of her label, now called Mixology Digital Records. This will
feature new artists, as well as her own material, that will also
be remixed by internationals and also herself. The label will
feature collaborations BeXta has done with international artists,
including Public Domain, Dave Joy and Vandertraxx. MDR will be
entering the online download domain www.mixologydigitalrecords.com/
But vinyl junkies rest assured there will a be a vinyl release
to launch the label, which will be available internationally,
and will feature a new BeXta track, and will introduce 2 of her
new artists - Steve Black and TyDi.
PETE WARDMAN HARD DANCE PIONEER STYLES:HARD DANCE / HARD HOUSE / HOUSE
With
styles at the harder end of the spectrum undergoing a real rollercoaster
ride of peaks and troughs over the last couple of years, production
legend Pete Wardman has wisely used the time to not only get
back into his beloved studio but also to redevelop his love for
good honest house music. These days you are just as likely to
see Pete moving and shaking a dancefloor to sophisticated quality
mid-tempo house cut, as to hear him ripping the roof off at a
Slinky night with an uplifting hard dance monster. Because of
recent successes in the harder spectrum it's easy to overlook
a DJ and production history which covers a diverse range of styles
and tastes.
Pete Wardman was first booked
as a DJ when he was 17 years old, claiming it was a case of either
"either get behind the bar, or the decks"! Fast forward
to 1998 and Pete had set up Hampshire based "Power FM",
a radio station targeted towards a (largely ignored) youth audience.
Within a year the station became market leader, and was later
bought by the Capital Radio group. In 1992, Pete was headhunted
by KISS 100 FM - the UK's leading dance music station to co-present
the weekday breakfast show, progressing.....
to his own weekday
show. Over the next two years the ratings skyrocketed and Pete
had become one of their 'new school DJ's, also generating a rash
of live bookings round the UK
In 1995, when Kiss changed hands,
Pete left the daytime schedule and, with a helping hand from
Danny Rampling, created a new weekly specialist show under the
'House Nation' banner, and becoming one of the regular presenters
of BPM, ITV's Saturday night cult dance TV show as well as releasing
the milestone compilation album 'Sherbert' which banged straight
into a number 4 chart placing. As a result the legendary club
'Sherbert' was born, becoming one of London's most cutting edge
clubs.
Pete has also featured as guest
on Pete Tong's 'The Essential Mix' on BBC Radio 1, been a journalist
and presenter for BBC News and Current Affairs as well hosting
a long running prime time show on KISS 100 FM and in 1997 he
became the new weekly resident at Laurence Malice's legendary
club TRADE and a regular headliner at the cult clubs world tour
dates for many years thereafter.
Yes, we know we haven't mentioned
the Pete Wardman Crown Jewels - yep that rather impressive discography
that has helped shape dance music but there isn't the space to
list them all but you can click HERE

VICKY
DEVINE JUDGEMENT
SUNDAYS RES STYLES:HOUSE , TRANCE , FUNKY ELECTRO AND HARDER
Vicky Devine is ne of
the most talented female DJ/Producers within the current UK dance
scenE having been involved in music in some capacity throughout
most of her life. Reaching Grade 6 in Piano, playing classical
guitar and being a member of a singing group throughout her school
life, she was enticed into the dance music world at the age of
18 and has worked within the industry ever since!!!
Beginning as a club reviewer
and interviewer for Dream and Eternity magazines she then went
on to dance on stage and work in various promotional roles for
a number of UK based events. There was always a DJ inside though
and she was soon behind the decks spending hours after college
learning how to mix. This coupled with her passion for music,
endless enthusiasm and perseverance has helped build her career
and made her one of the most promising female DJ's and producers
in the current dance music scene.
As a result Vicky has
gone on to wow fans in the UK, and indeed around the world with
a reputation built on her uplifting yet driving trance sets -
although versatile Vicky is just as recognised for her funky,
house and electro sets as well.
Playing at numerous nights
in the UK including Gatecrasher, The Gallery (Turnmills), Pams
House (Norwich), Slinky (Westfest Festival), Escape (Swansea),
Passion (Coalville), Tranzaction and on a worldwide level including
on the SLINKY Asia tour in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, the SMIRNOFF
EXPERIENCE tour in India and at clubs in Canada, South America,
Dubai, Australia and New Zealand to name but a few. Vicky is
also a regular guest at many top nights in Ibiza including her
weekly main room residency at the massive JUDGEMENT SUNDAYS at
Eden where she plays alonsgide the likes of Judge Jules, Eddie
Halliwell, Lisa Lashes, Christopher Laurence, Matt Hardwick and
Ferry Corston (2005, 2006, 2007), - not to mention a weekly residency
at Majorca's superclub BCM for her own night - "Angels of
Funk" (2004, 2005, 2006, 2007). She is also one of the resident
DJ's at the most successful all female DJ event to date - "Charlys
Angelz". This has completed six successful years out in
Ibiza at which Vicky has played each and every one! The brand
has also hosted nights at numerous clubs as part of the Charlys
Angelz UK and Worldwide tour, in addition to the brand hosting
rooms at other collaborating events such as the Big Reunion in
Skegness. Charlys Angelz remains an integral part of Vicky's
career and will be back in Ibiza for summer 2007 alongside a
new UK tour.
On the production front
Vicky has also seen success. She had early productions as part
of numerous collaborations which allowed her to subsequently
move on to work on solo productions and develop her own sound.
Her first release written back in 2001 (as part of trance duo
Sweet Asylum and also called "Sweet Asylum"), was released
through Infectious Distribution, and was licensed to Pendragons
"Power Trance and Nu NRG" album mixed by Mark Sinclair.
Her second track entitled "Angelz", also produced under
the Sweet Asylum guise was signed by UK based record label Solar.
Her third track entitled "Fearing Nothing", co-written
with Sophie Sugar, was released at the beginning of 2003 on Dutch
label "F-Active Music" where the track was produced.
It is during the past year however that Vicky has come into her
own as a solo artist. Her first solo production - "Entravanse"
- was signed to Drizzly at the end of 2005 and released in March
2006 on their Illuminate sublabel along with a remix from Passion's
resident DJ Andy Bagguley. The track was licenced to four compilation
albums, received excellent reviews in IDJ, Mixmag and M8 magazines
and has also received support from some of trance's top music
jocks including Dave Pearce (plays on his Radio One Dance Anthems
Show), Paul Kershaw (plays on Galaxy FM and voted 2nd in the
Sol Selection), Adam White and Gav Mytchell (MOS Radio), Guy
Ornadel and DJ Choose. Her second track entitled "Echoed
Kisses" was also released on Drizzly's Illuminate Records
with a fantastic Paul Kershaw Remix, and achieved similar success
with plays on Dave Pearce's Dance Anthems, MOS radio, Galaxy
and Vibe FM to name but a few. Echoed Kisses was also recommended
tune of the month in IDJ and had fantastic reviews in Mixmag.
Vicky has been back working hard in the studio throughout the
winter, and her next two tracks (Silver Whispers and Eternal
Dream) will be doing the rounds very soon as well as her very
own remix of Solstice's "Edge of the Ocean".
Radio is also a massive
part of Vicky's career having provided Ibiza reports and interviews
for Paul Kershaw's Saturday night Galaxy FM show (2006), Steve
Smart's Saturday night Kiss 100 FM Floorfillers Show (2004),
Bournemouth's Fire 107.6FM (2002-2004), and having also hosted
her own show on Ibiza's main dance music station Holiday FM (2005).
In addition Vicky has been involved in television work with Balearic
Babes (Rapture TV 2002) and also with an Australian production
which included Vicky interviewing DJ Tiesto at Ibiza's Cream
Closing party (2005). She also recently had guest mixes and interviews
on Eddie Halliwell's BBC Radio One Show (Feb 2007), on Judge
Jules's Global Warm Up show (Dec 2006) and on Fergie's BBC Radio
One Show for his "DJ By The Sea" Feature (2005).
So at the beginning of
2007, the roller coaster ride seems set to continue for Ms Devine.
With further gigs throughout the UK, Europe and beyond already
lined up, and exciting studio collaborations in the pipeline
for yet more tracks - it seems there really is no stopping this
girl. The past year has indeed been Vicky's biggest year to date,
but sets the stall for an even bigger future.

ART OF
TRANCE PLATIPUS RECORDS #1 STYLES:PSY / TRANCE - AKA POLTERGEIST / UNION JACK
Fans
of the mighty Platipus Records will be only too aware of the
extensive musical output of their top act Art Of Trance (AOT).
However, delve a little deeper into the label output and
you will astonished as to just how linked to the label the act
really is for AOT is none other than Platipus owner and Tai Pan
- Simon Berry.
At
age 19 Simon hit the big smoke with the sole intention of being
able to immerse himself in the sounds of Londons clubs and pirate
radio stations where he heard music that ignited his soul. Hardfloor's
seminal classic "Acperience" blew this country boy's
mind and gave rise to his first and foremost recording project
as Art of Trance - the "Deeper Than Deep EP" on the
newly assembled Platipus Records, set up as a vehicle for like-minded
producers.
This
was closely followed by Poltergeist's "Vicious Circles"-
a secret Simon project which wowed Darren Emerson, Charlie Hall
and Carl Cox so much they wore out their acetates and came back
for another with Coxy remixing the track for re-release in 1995
hitting number 34 in the UK National charts.....
During
his "Hardcore" period he met Claudio Guisanni, then
recording as one half of Urban Shakedown. This was a meeting
of musical minds and the two decided to work together under the
Union Jack moniker whose first track "Two Full Moons and
a Trout" is considerd something of an all time trance classic.
AOT debut album 'Wildlife on
One' went on to sell over 30,000 copies worldwide and with "Madagascar"
re-released with remixes by Transa and scene golden boy, Ferry
Corsten becoming one of the biggest club records of the year
it paved the way nicely for the timely release of the album "Voice
Of Earth" and established AOT is one of the most highly
regarded trance acts around with his music being remixed by such
luminaries as Adam Dived, Cygnus X, Capricorn, Circulation, Ferry
Corsten, Silvio Ecomo and Man With No Name.
A
new state of the art studio for AOT adjacent to the Platipus
offices, forged more successes with "Killamanjaro."
and co- production with psy trance don Simon Posford (Hallucinogen)
"Love Washes Over." but despite being a studio-holic
Simon
continues
to take AOT on the road rocking venues across the globe particularly
in the USA (where AOT have a big fan base) including a live performance
to over 12,000 people at a festival in San Francisco with 2004
bringing what many condiser to be AOT's defining moment, "Mongoose".Simon
has recent releases with compilation albums "Tales Of The
Unexpected" and "The Art of Chill 2" and is currently
busy at work on the 3rd Art Of Trance album.

STEVE
MORLEY PROLIFIC DJ / PRODUCER STYLES: TRANCE, HARD HOUSE/ TRANCE,
PROGRESSIVE TRANCE
In
the early 90's Alici (yes Steve Morley is just one of many aliases
of this talented DJ/producer) decided to exchange his musical
life from classical to the more adventurous world of dance.
After
signing his first record deal in 1992 things happened fast and
and surprise high sales of his first tracks saw his star rising
as a record producer, live PA and DJ. The use of many aliases
enabled him to release records in several different styles and
to diverse markets sometimes in parallel. By 1998 his discography
was so vast that most DJs in the world had at least one or more
of his releases in their record box; resulting in massive support
of his works.
That
year also brought him instant recognition, and success all over
the world with the acclaimed Dave Holmes (yes, another alias!)
'Samsara' and Steve Morley 'Reincarnations'. More inspired
than ever, he unleashed another string of club hits such as....
...Clubbers Delight
'Without you', Starchild 'Redemption and Soulman 'Put your house'.
This resulted in him signing exclusively as Alici to Cream and
was the first ever artist to release on the label. After the
signing of Starchild 'Redemption' to Slinky he decided it was
time to move from his native Netherlands to the UK. After a period
of intensive DJing and working on more commercial projects he
returned to his first love, Trance.
It took a few more big releases
in other styles, and a lot of thought before he made up his mind
for a final time and would; from now on - go with the name of
Steve Morley. This proved to be good for him and releases such
as 'First Light', 'Sacrifice' and the recent re release of 'Reincarnations'
all proved to be as successful as his earlier works. With
his massive experience as a DJ having played famous events like
Cream, Trade, Heat, Knowwhere and residencies in London and Ibiza,
he continues to ride on the crest of the Trance wave.

the buzz of his live success he regularly spends time in producing
his own and collaborative tracks and mixing a range of compilations

another achievement was reached when the titled "Awake"

EGEBAMYASI OLD SKOOL ACID HOUSE STYLES:EXTREME ACID HOUSE 303 STYLE
April
2006 finally saw the long awaited installment in the cult old
skool acid series, with the release of the excellent 6-tracker
'ACID INDIGESTION
PT 4'featuring quality acid
from EGEBAMYASI and wicked remixes from the legendary BAMBAM,
CITRIC ACID and GASANOID on Belgian label Binary Bassline. Probably
best known for their UK and European tour support to EAT STATIC,
EGEBAMYASI are the true godfathers of UK acid house - playing
it live since 1984, 3 years before the the phrase "acid
house" was even coined! They have been a seminal influence
on many house artists of the 80's and 90's - just to put in perspective
there's not many dance artists around today who can say that
CARL COX used to play support for them!
Until
1999 EGEBAMYASI continued to thrive from their notoriety and
a wealth of innovative record releases to pursue a punishing
tour schedule across the clubs and festivals of UK and Europe,
large and small - from the Inverness Railway Club to main tour
support for EAT STATIC on their European Tour, along with ......
...most of the infamous
MEGADOG parties. EGEBAMYASI received substantial press coverage
and acclaim throughout this period and was described on more
than one occasion as "Moby On Steroids".
After a much
missed three year absence (to raise twins no less) MR EGG self
styled king of the 303 returned to the international club and
festival circuit in 2002 playing several high profile acid festival
appearances in 2004/5 and was chosen along with EAT STATIC to
headline the huge re-launch of the infamous MEGADOG brand at
Manchester Academy in 2003 where they are once again residents
EGEBAMYASI have performed
all over the U.K and Europegg with, and in many instances been
supported by, the very top artists including Carl Cox, Marshall
Jefferson, SLAM, Cajmere, System 7, Eat Static, Gayle San, Gemini,
Darren Emerson, Justin Robertson, Colin Faver, Robert Armani,
808 State, Joey Beltram, David Holmes, Andy Weatherall, Cabaret
Voltaire, The Shamen, A Guy Called Gerald, Billy Nasty, Bam Bam
("Where's Your Child"), Fini-Tribe, The Stranglers,
Speedy J, Autecher, Ritchie Hawtin, Dave Angel, Miss Yetti, Laurent
Garnier, Robert Leiner, Derek May, Jeff Mills, Doc Martin, Billy
Nasty, Twitch & Brainstorm, Pure, MC Kinky, Billy Bunter,
Timo Maas, Trevor Riley, Alex Paterson, Vince Clarke, Arkanoid
(Belgium), Ron Trent, Lenny Dee, Woody Mcbride (aka DJ ESP),
Rob Acid, Citric Acid as well as recording on Soma, Finiflex,
Binary Bassline, It and Outland among many many others.
During
a tour of Holland EGEBAMYASI were spotted in the legendary "Milky
Way" by Belgian label "Groove Kissing" resulting
in the massively acclaimed " EBY EP" "Acid Indigestion
Pts 1 & 2" - caned by just about every major DJ name
at the time, aired byt the late great John Peel, and subsequently
re-mixed and sampled by many, and still getting plays on Radio
One today, 13 year later!
EGEBAMYASI
followed this success with a series of well received single releases
such as "Pizzacid", "Acidnation", "Remont",
"Store In A Cool Place" on a variety of labels, and
two must-have albums from the era "How To Boil An Egg"
and "Mother Goose" both of which received massive review
and eggditorial column space in all the major UK magazines and
many international journals and are generally considered in retrospect
to be two of the finest examples of the acid genre. Releases
have proved popular inclusions on dance compilations appearing
on no less than 14, including the must sought after MixMag series
Vol 19. EGEBAMYASI
are "must have" performers at any serious international
acid fest. And yes, they still have that rather worrying fixation
about eggs!
WAYNE
BURGESS X-STATIC BOYS STYLES:UPLIFTING HARD DANCE AND HARD HOUSE
Riding
the crest of his continued popularity with Londons hard house
faithful, Wayne Burgess, usually found on the same bill as partner
in crime Joel B, is cutting it up with a vengeance across most
of the coolest clubs in the capital.
You've probably seen
Wayne on the decks at X-STATIC, E-RATIC, TRINITY, MIND OVER MATTER,
FREEDOM @ BAGLEYS, FARENHITE, FEVER and of course SUNNYSIDE UP
- a current portfolio that says it all, along with guest appearances
across the UK.
Despite being much
in demand in the UK, Wayne is also aregular visitor to South
Africa where his appearances at gigantic public holiday events
in cape Town have become something of a legend since his New
Year 2003 set blue the room away.
With many releases
under his belt and more to come under the guise of the X-STATIC
BOYS with colleague JOEL B, Wayne continues to fly the flag for
the hard dance/trance sound to an international audience. X-STATIC
